Since its founding in the mid-1980s, Media Ventures, Inc. has stayed true to the principles and values upon which the company was founded. MVI’s mission statement, “To produce work to the highest standards in the industry that is accurate, timely and competitively priced” is the foundation around which the entire company has been built. This commitment to quality and customer service has propelled MVI successfully into the 21st century. As the industry has evolved, so has MVI, with an expanded focus on custom content publishing across multiple media channels, social media services, data management, advertising and more.

What began with a managing editor, two editors and a graphic designer has expanded to include researchers, proofreaders, digital media experts, cartographers and top-level designers. Through the years, MVI’s growth has been defined by innovation and the ability to transform and evolve within the industry we so proudly serve.

Following the deregulation of AT&T in 1984, MVI became a pioneer in the creation of directory enhancements. The company’s first foray into the newly created niche was the creation, development and deployment of the Silver Scene, a 4-color, glossy information section bound into the front of telephone directories targeted specifically to the 55+ age group. This ambitious project was rolled out in nearly 100 markets by Southwestern Bell, one of the seven “Baby Bells” created by the divestiture of AT&T. From that launch in 1987, MVI went on to secure contracts with all seven of the “Baby Bells” for the creation of community information sections.

And that was only the beginning…

Today, MVI offers a full range of publishing, social media and data management services, with an experienced, dedicated in-house editorial, design and digital team, plus a seasoned management team with nearly a century of experience. From conception to creation, MVI connects its clients’ content across multiple media channels—print, digital, mobile and social media. From creating and managing databases, to publishing magazines, newsletters, catalogs, e-marketing, mobile applications, visitor guides, sustainability reports and more—we’ve created content vehicles for recycling services, parks & recreation departments, chambers of commerce, health care groups, nature conservancies, small businesses, local directories, diving suppliers and more.

Following MVI’s certification as a Women-Owned Business in 2011, a whole new world of opportunity opened to MVI, and it’s something we have embraced with the same passion, dedication and commitment to excellence that we have always maintained.

Media Ventures, Inc. is a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise.

About Us

  • You’ve got an audience to reach, we’ve got you covered. Whether you need a company newsletter, magazine, chamber directory, local map, visitor guide, social media management or anything in between, MVI has the expertise to deliver your product, in print, digital or mobile format.

  • Indian River County Chamber of Commerce

Our Chamber has used Media Ventures since 2005 as the vendor of choice for our official Indian River County map.

While many companies take months in turnaround time on map projects, we found that Media Ventures can deliver the final product accurately and quickly. This became particularly important to us following the 2004 hurricanes when our map supply was wiped out by FEMA and insurance adjusters.
